The lowly Carp doth live his life below the glistening stream of water which fore'er doth flow above his humble scene Perhaps he finds his one true love; perhaps he does not, Perhaps he will not reach his goals before he's in the pot. For fishermen they do not think of quality of life for these poor, suffering, winsome fish, for whom they cause such strife. The carp but wishes, 'neath the waves, to live out all his days In streams and rivers, not on plates as so many fish fillets. And so next time you wish to fish, and take your rod in hand Remember how the carp doth feel when his body hits the sand. Consider if, for just this once, your fishing you'll forgo-- and watching from the watery depths, the grateful Carp will know.

neither can I
